The body spends about two hours each night in the deep recovery phase. During this time, it builds muscle, repairs micro-injuries, and regulates hormones. If your body overheats or gets too cold during this process, the phase is interrupted—and the repair remains incomplete. This is exactly where CELLIANT® comes in: Minerals embedded directly into the fibers absorb body heat and reflect it back into the tissue as infrared light. The result is measurable—improved local blood circulation, higher oxygen saturation in the tissue, and more restful sleep phases.
CELLIANT® is approved in the EU as a Class I medical device. This is not a marketing distinction, but a category with clinical requirements.

You don’t wake up because your shoulder is sore. You wake up because your body has been turning every few minutes for hours to redistribute the pressure. Each of these micro-movements pulls you out of deep sleep—even if you don’t remember any of it in the morning. This is exactly where viscoelastic foam makes the difference: It reacts to body heat and pressure, sinking deeper where needed and providing support where your back needs stability. The result isn’t just “softer.” It means less tossing and turning. More deep sleep. Better recovery.

An athlete’s body is never just one way. During the competitive season, you carry tension that you don’t have in the off-season. After an injury, you suddenly find yourself sleeping on the other side—consciously, because you have to. During the build-up phase, you need more back support; during recovery week, you want to sink in deeper. Sleep positions aren’t static—especially not over the course of years. Until now, there hasn’t been a mattress that could adapt to all of this. With the RECOVERY BASE 2.0, there is.
Eight configurations using three adjustment screws. Two core sides—green is softer, purple is firmer. Two rotation directions—shoulder and hip cutouts in the front or back, depending on which side you’re currently sleeping on. Topper in or out. This covers all firmness levels from H1 to H4. You can switch it at home in two minutes, without any tools.

Yes. After all, we want to make it as easy as possible for you and not keep you from getting a good night’s sleep: The ends of the foam cores are numbered from 1 to 4.
For production reasons, the mattress is always delivered to you in the following configuration: The soft foam core (green) is on top, and the topper is placed over the foam cores at the very top. This is the softest configuration of the RECOVERY BASE 2.0. Once you’re home, you can easily reconfigure the mattress to suit your individual preferences.
The RECOVERY BASE is a universal mattress and suitable for all types of beds. It’s compatible with box spring beds, slatted frames, loft beds, and more. We recommend that you avoid placing the mattress directly on the floor if possible, as this restricts air circulation and can negatively affect your sleep environment.
Yes. Body heat is absorbed by textiles and reflected back to the body, even through multiple layers of fabric. In the case of CELLIANT®, the minerals in the fibers reflect infrared heat back to the body. Learn more about CELLIANT® technology.
Simply place the topper at the very bottom of the mattress cover, underneath the foam core. And if you ever feel like some extra comfort, just pull the topper up and place it on top of the foam core.
