RECOVERY SLOPES are made of 100% high quality and durable PU foam.

For your return, the product must be in perfect condition. This means concretely:

  • Your SLOPES must not show any signs of use, i.e. they must not be damaged, dirty, washed or worn for a longer period of time.
  • Your SLOPES are in the original packaging
  • Size XS: Shore zizes EUR 36.5 - 38 & US: 4-5
  • Size S: shoe sizes EUR 38.5 - 40 & US: 6 - 7
  • Size M: Shoe sizes EUR 40.5 - 42 & US: 7.5 - 8.5
  • Size L: shoe sizes EUR 42.5 - 44 & US: 9 - 10
  • Size XL: Shoe sizes EUR 44.5 - 46 & US: 10.5 - 11.5

If you are wavering between two sizes and you know that compared to the average they are rather narrow and flat, we recommend you rather choose the smaller size. If you have a wide foot shape and a high instep, it is advisable to tend to choose the next size up if you are at the upper limit.

All size units can be found here.

You can also try on the SLOPES at home. However, please note our return conditions.

What does the negative heel do?

The negative heel causes your heel to be lower than the rest of your foot. This negative heel angle of -3.7° relieves pressure on your forefoot and joints. At the same time, once you’ve gotten used to the SLOPES, it stretches your calf muscles and the posterior fascial chain, which leads to long-term relaxation of these structures. This sensation, which may feel unusual at first, encourages you to stand upright and can, over time, relieve pressure on various joints. This makes the RECOVERY SLOPES a product that can help prevent calf tension, knee pain, or back pain and reduce symptoms caused by excessive strain on the forefoot.

What effect does the dynamic rocker sole have?

The dynamic rocker sole is a special type of shoe sole characterized by a curved shape. Thanks to this concave curvature of the sole, the foot can roll naturally, reducing strain on the feet, knees, and hips. The enhanced rolling motion also stimulates blood circulation and creates a dynamic stretch in the backs of the legs while walking. In addition, walking results in mild muscle activation in the legs.

FAQ

Here you’ll find the size chart. If you’re between two sizes and know that these shoes run narrower and flatter than average, we recommend choosing the smaller size. If you have a wide foot shape and a high instep, it’s advisable to go for the next size up if you’re on the upper end of the size range. Otherwise, select your size for the RECOVERY SLOPES based on the chart.

If the RECOVERY SLOPES get dirty, rinse them with water and wipe them down with a dry cloth. The SLOPES cannot be washed in the washing machine.

No, the shoes were designed to be unisex.

Good posture is important for everyone: In modern everyday shoes, the heel is usually significantly higher than the toes. This throws the body’s center of gravity off balance. The calf muscles remain highly tense and are therefore shortened in a flexed position. The pelvis tilts forward, leading to a hollow back. Pain in the musculoskeletal system is thus inevitable. The minimally negative heel of the RECOVERY SLOPES has the opposite effect: Here, too, the body’s center of gravity is shifted slightly out of balance. However, the heel, which is lowered by 3.7°, activates our gluteal and core muscles. At the same time, the calf muscles are gently stretched. The result is a more upright posture.

During product development, it was important to us that, in addition to achieving the desired effect through the negative heel, we did not overly influence the natural gait pattern and could continue to offer comfortable running with the RECOVERY SLOPES. Through testing during product development, the 3.7° angle emerged as the perfect balance between an effective impact and comfortable wear.

To return the product, it must be in perfect condition. Specifically, this means:

  • Your SLOPES must show no signs of use—they must not be damaged, soiled, washed, or have been worn for an extended period.
  • Your SLOPES must be in their original packaging

Yes, since the SLOPES are slip-resistant, you can also wear them as pool shoes.

You can wear the RECOVERY SLOPES both indoors and outdoors.

The RECOVERY SLOPES are made of 100% high-quality, durable PU foam. During the manufacturing process, the liquid components expand within the PU mold, creating a high-quality, dimensionally stable product. As this happens, air rises within the mold and sometimes remains on the surface of the SLOPES in the form of small bubbles. These bubbles do not affect the function of the RECOVERY SLOPES and give them a unique look.

When you should not wear the RECOVERY SLOPES, or should only wear them after consulting your doctor:

  • In cases of acute injuries:
    • Injuries to tendons, muscles, and ligaments, and injuries to joints (such as the ankle, knee, hip, or back)
    • If your doctor has prescribed rest for the joint.
    • Also, if you experience increased pain while wearing RECOVERY SLOPES.
  • In cases of acute inflammation: When a joint, tendon, or muscle is acutely inflamed. In some cases, RECOVERY SLOPES may still be used in a targeted manner, but only in close consultation with your treating doctor.
  • In cases of neurological disorders: If the condition is already advanced and there are severe neurological, motor, or sensory deficits.
  • In cases of acutely inflamed forefoot injuries (e.g., hallux valgus/hallux rigidus): In most cases, adjusting the intensity helps prevent excessive mobilization of the joint; here, too, you should consult closely with your treating physician.
  • Prohibition by a doctor: If your doctor prohibits you from wearing the RECOVERY SLOPES based on your medical history, e.g., after surgery.
  • Please also consult your doctor before wearing the RECOVERY SLOPES if you have hip problems or hip and knee joint abnormalities.
  • For individuals who naturally have an unstable gait and are at increased risk of losing their balance or twisting their ankle, it is recommended to discuss this with your doctor.
