With CELLIANT® technology
The CELLIANT® fibers integrated into the mattress absorb your body heat, convert it into infrared energy, and reflect it back to your body.
Your muscles and tissues absorb this energy, causing your blood vessels to temporarily dilate. This improves local blood circulation and delivers more red blood cells to your cells—thereby increasing the oxygen supply to your cells.
As a result, CELLIANT® technology supports faster recovery and improved thermoregulation of your body, promoting restful sleep.
CELLIANT® is approved as a Class 1 medical device in the European Union. This effect is temporary and not long-term

Integrated topper for improved pressure relief
Soft to the touch, extremely effective at relieving pressure—that’s the BLACKROLL® TOPPER: The viscoelastic foam ensures optimal pressure relief and offers an extra dose of comfort. The secret behind it: The topper reacts to body heat and pressure points, adapts perfectly to your contours, and offers you a customized level of sinkage. Thanks to memory foam, the topper remembers its original position, preventing the formation of a body indentation.

FAQ
The RECOVERY BASE is a versatile option when it comes to firmness. In total, you can choose from 8 different configurations with varying levels of firmness.
The foam core consists of two different types of foam: a firm side (purple) and a soft side (green). When comparing the firmness ratings to other manufacturers, the green side corresponds to a firmness level of H2 and the purple side to a firmness level of H4. Depending on which side you use, you’ll sleep on either the firm or soft side. In addition, both types of foam feature a special cutout pattern designed for side sleepers, allowing your shoulders and pelvis to sink in. If you primarily sleep on your back or stomach, you can rotate the mattress 180 degrees so that your upper body rests on the section without the cutout pattern (i.e., with the cutouts on the inside).
Simply by flipping and rotating the mattress in this way, you can already experience 4 different firmness levels.
In addition, you can place the included memory foam topper on top. The mattress topper conforms to your body’s contours and provides pressure relief. With the optional use of the topper, the RECOVERY BASE offers 8 different configuration options.

Yes. After all, we want to make it as easy as possible for you and not keep you from getting a good night’s sleep: The ends of the foam cores are numbered from 1 to 4. The topper is marked with a +. You can find your individual configuration using our configurator on this page.
The RECOVERY BASE is a universal mattress and suitable for all types of beds. It’s compatible with box spring beds, slatted frames, loft beds, and more. We recommend that you avoid placing the mattress directly on the floor if possible, as this can restrict air circulation and negatively affect your sleep environment.
Of course. You can wash the mattress cover at 60°C. The bottom part of the cover (with the anti-slip coating) is not washable. Remove this part before washing. Do not iron, bleach, or tumble dry the cover. The topper and the foam core are not washable.
The bonded foam core has a density of 37 kg/m³ in each section, with two different compression resistances. The green side has a lower compression resistance, while the purple side has a higher one.
Simply place the topper at the very bottom of the mattress cover, underneath the foam core. And if you ever feel like some extra comfort, just pull the topper up and place it on top of the foam core.
The Recovery Base is carefully designed to offer you the best possible sleep comfort. With its innovative construction featuring two hybrid foams, it provides an excellent balance of support and pressure relief. The right firmness level is crucial for a restful night’s sleep, as it supports proper spinal alignment without causing pressure points.
The choice of firmness level should be based on your individual sleeping comfort, with body weight and height being important factors. An ergonomic mattress that relieves pressure points while supporting the body is ideal for an orthopedically correct sleeping position. Our RECOVERY BASE offers you optimal pressure relief thanks to its different firmness levels and specially designed cut—you can customize it to your individual needs. As a general guideline for the RECOVERY BASE, people weighing up to 100 kg can use the green foam as their sleeping surface if they prefer a soft mattress. People weighing up to 130 kg should generally choose the purple hybrid foam as their sleeping surface to avoid sinking in too much and putting excessive strain on the spine.
