Thanks to your likes on Instagram, 1 metric ton of trash was removed from rivers.
Restoring rivers, waterways, and the world’s oceans: Thanks to our fantastic partnership with everwave and your enthusiastic participation, we quickly reached 1,000 likes on World Ocean Day 2023. As a result, everwave will now collect 1,000 kilograms of trash from rivers to prevent it from entering the world’s oceans.
A total of nearly 23 metric tons of trash
June 8, 2023, marked World Ocean Day once again. Since we at BLACKROLL® place great importance on healthy and sustainable business practices, we joined everwave’s #1Like1Kilo campaign.
How #1Like1Kilo works
In this campaign, companies and brands could ask their followers to “donate” likes, converting each like into 1 kilogram of collected trash. We did just that, and thanks to your likes, we’re now helping everwave remove a full 1,000 kilograms of trash from rivers so it never ends up in the world’s oceans in the first place.
On World Ocean Day, 37 companies and their dedicated followers generated so many likes that 22.67 metric tons of trash will now be collected.
