Beachteam Bo & Joeri
We are Beach Team Bo & Joeri, also known as Beach Tennis Team NL. Last season, we started playing professional beach tennis. Since the sport is growing rapidly worldwide and progress has been made toward making it an Olympic sport, it was time for us—as the No. 1 and No. 2 players in the Netherlands—to commit fully to beach tennis. We’re extremely satisfied with how last season went. We’ve already made significant strides and worked our way up the world rankings, partly thanks to the international tournaments we’ve played. Now we’re at the start of a new season. In mid-February, we’re heading to Italy—the mecca of beach tennis—for a training camp. After that, our season kicks off with tournaments all over the world, where we aim to break into the world’s top 100 in beach tennis. We’ve set ourselves the goal of reaching the world’s top 30 within three years.
We’re incredibly happy that Blackroll has joined Beach Team Bo & Joeri as our recovery partner starting this season!We’ve noticed that with all the tournaments we play and our intensive training, recovery is absolutely essential to maintaining peak performance. Blackroll helps us recover after a tough match or training session. Products we use frequently include the foam roller (Groove Pro) to loosen up our muscles before training sessions and matches. We also use the Duoball 12 and Duoball 8 frequently in the morning and evening to loosen up our backs and shoulders. In addition, we often use the massage gun (Fasciagun) right after physical exertion to promote relaxation and recovery. What’s great about the massage gun is that it’s light and compact, making it easy to take with us on our trips. We also use Blackroll equipment during training sessions. Especially during strength training, we make extensive use of resistance bands and the fitness ball.We also use the resistance bands to warm up our muscles before a match or beach tennis training session.
In addition to our passion for beach tennis, we’re also passionate about growth—making sure today is a little better than yesterday. This applies not only to sports but also to other aspects of life. We believe that this approach allows us to give something back to our community.
