The RECOVERY BASE 2.0 is a multi-talent when it comes to hardness levels. You can choose between a total of 8 different configurations with varying degrees of hardness.
The foam core consists of two different foam layers. One hard side (purple) and one soft side (green). If you compare the firmness rating with other manufacturers, the green side corresponds to a firmness rating of H2 and the purple side to a firmness rating of H4. Depending on how you turn the core, you can sleep on the hard or soft side. In addition, both foam layers feature a special cut pattern for side sleepers, allowing the shoulders and pelvis to sink in. If you primarily sleep on your back or stomach, you can rotate the core 180 degrees so that your upper body rests on the supportive part.
By simply turning and flipping the mattress, you can experience 4 different firmness levels. In addition, you have the option of placing the integrated Softbalance topper on top. The integrated topper allows the mattress to conform to the contours of your body and provides pressure relief. With the optional use of the topper, the RECOVERY BASE 2.0 offers 8 different configuration options.

The RECOVERY BASE 2.0 is more than just a mattress—it’s a sophisticated recovery system
Innovative materials and ergonomic design work together, layer by layer, to relieve pressure and create a sleeping environment where your body can truly recover. Because good sleep starts with the right temperature.
When your body neither overheats nor gets too cold at night, it can regenerate optimally. The Softtouch Recovery Cover combines a breathable double-layer knit with soft hollow-fiber padding and integrated CELLIANT® fibers. This creates an exceptionally comfortable sleeping experience with effective thermoregulation and moisture control—for a consistently comfortable sleeping environment.
How does it work? The fabric contains tiny, naturally occurring minerals that are firmly integrated into the fibers. They absorb your body heat and reflect it back to your body as infrared energy—similar to modern infrared technologies, but without using any electricity. Your body provides the energy itself—and at the same time uses it to regulate its temperature and help you get the most out of your sleep. The high-quality cover is removable and easy to care for, and can be attached directly to the Gripframe via the zipper.

In the 160x200 and 180x200 sizes, the RECOVERY BASE 2.0 is designed so that both sides can be customized individually. It consists of two separate cores and toppers that can be configured differently—for example, softer or firmer.
This allows two people with different sleep needs to lie comfortably. A shared cover connects both sides to form a continuous sleeping surface. This creates a uniform sleeping experience without a gap between the two sides or any slipping.
