Tina has been a physical therapist for many years and opened her own practice in 2017 in the heart of Stuttgart’s western district. Her training in osteopathy enables her to view people as a whole. Thanks to years of experience treating women before and after childbirth, she has developed a three-stage postpartum recovery program and also helps women stay fit during pregnancy. She has been a BLACKROLL® Master Trainer since 2016 and is our expert in pre- and postnatal training.

In your physical therapy practice, you don’t just rely on passive treatment methods on the treatment table; you also integrate sports and movement into your therapy and class program. As a physical therapist, why do you place such a high value on physical activity?

Sitting for long periods in the office or while working from home, a lack of movement in daily life, or even after pregnancy can lead to imbalances and tension in the muscles and the fascial system.

Passive treatment methods are absolutely essential and, following a thorough assessment, are usually the first step in my treatment plan.

However, I believe that effective treatment can only promise long-lasting success if muscular and fascial imbalances are addressed through active measures.

For this, the patient’s active cooperation is absolutely essential. To keep motivation for exercise high and give my clients the opportunity to treat themselves, I love using BLACKROLL® products. Why did you specialize in the field of pregnancy?

During my training as a physical therapist, I had the privilege of receiving excellent instruction in gynecology, and this quickly made me realize the importance of proper postpartum recovery—as well as exercise during pregnancy—in my daily practice. Many women don’t realize the effects of an imbalance in the core and pelvic floor until years after giving birth, or they believe this condition is normal. These imbalances can lead to persistent back and hip pain, incontinence, and prolapse issues long afterward.
