As a manufacturer, BLACKROLL® stands for high product quality and durability. That is why we offer you a 10-year guarantee on the BLACKROLL RECOVERY BASE. This refers to the dimensional stability and durability of the mattress core materials, but not to the cover. The legally required two-year warranty applies to the cover. If a warranty claim arises for the BLACKROLL RECOVERY BASE during the warranty period, we, as the warrantor, will, at our discretion, either repair the product free of charge or replace the product with a defect-free item free of charge. The territorial scope of this warranty is the Federal Republic of Germany. The warranty period begins on the date of delivery.
Limitations of the warranty:
The warranty does not cover defects caused by improper use, i.e. cuts, cracks, notches, scratches and dirt that occur after delivery.
The warranty does not cover any incidental or consequential damages. The warranty therefore does not apply to damage caused by incorrect assembly, handling or care.
The warranty does not cover damage to zippers or handles.
The warranty applies only to indoor use. The warranty does not apply if products have been used outdoors or in a damp environment.
The warranty does not apply to heavily soiled mattresses that cannot be inspected or repaired under hygienic conditions.
The warranty does not cover discoloration: Over time, discoloration, typically yellowing, can occur, particularly due to the effects of UV rays and ozone. The functional properties of the mattress are not affected in any way. Deviations from the nominal dimensions are not covered by the warranty: Mattresses, like mattress cores, are designed to be flexible and adaptable. Due to storage, transport and, above all, use, mattress cores may deviate from their nominal dimensions. A tolerance of 20mm in length and width is common and does not constitute grounds for a replacement claim.
Furthermore, the warranty does not apply to the initial, short-term odor: PUR flexible foam has a weak, product-typical odor. Due to the protective, gas-tight packaging of mattresses, a noticeable odor may occur after removing the packaging. It is recommended to air new mattresses. The smell should disappear quickly, after a week at the latest.
Moisture is not covered by the warranty: the material properties of PUR soft foam deteriorate when exposed to moisture. This can lead to a loss of hardness and material instability (cavity formation). Damage caused by mattresses / mattress cores being exposed to excessive moisture is due to improper treatment and cannot be recognized as a warranty claim. Certain signs indicate excessive moisture, including mold, mildew stains, residual moisture and urine odor.
Mattress indentations: Everyone is built differently and puts pressure on their mattress in their own unique way. Some spots are thus more heavily used than others. Over time, so-called mattress indentations can form. A warranty claim is only covered by this warranty if a divot deeper than 20mm appears within the first 2 years. If, at a later date, divots deeper than 20mm appear, the mattress should be replaced due to intensive use.
How to measure a divot:
Important notice: This manufacturer's warranty does not affect your statutory rights in the event of defects and you can claim these free of charge. Consequently, any existing statutory warranty rights remain unaffected by this guarantee. This manufacturer's guarantee promise therefore does not violate your statutory rights, but rather extends your legal position.
In the event of a warranty claim, please contact our Customer Care Team by email at shop.de@blackroll.com, by phone at +49 7141 6962559 or by WhatsApp at +49 7141 6962525. Please make sure that the goods are packed securely to avoid damage during transit. For example, you can use the film in which the mattress was packed for delivery. A copy of the purchase contract with the delivery date must be provided to apply for the warranty so that we can check whether the warranty period has been met.
