We have a sporty podcast tip for you: Benjamin Brömme runs a very cool and interesting athletics podcast from Frankfurt am Main - as the "Mainathlet". The former sprinter talks with athletes from various disciplines, with active and former coaches and with people whose expertise offers valuable content: from health to recovery. Of course, it is always about a lot of sports, but also about personal issues.
At BLACKROLL®, we are currently in the midst of athletics fever, as we are supporting the European Championships Munich 2022 as "Official Recovery Supplier".
At such major events, athletics finally gets the attention it deserves - but without the Olympics, World Championships or European Championships, it is unfortunately always in the shadow of many other sports. "Completely unjustly!", Benjamin Brömme also thought and, as a pioneer so to speak, started the first German-language podcast especially for athletics. And for the people who ensure the best performance every day: athletes, coaches, recovery experts and many more. The mix of his guests makes his podcast very interesting for all sports enthusiasts, but especially, for all athletics fans!
By the way: Our BLACKROLL® Education Manager, Stefan Schneider, has already been a guest of Benjamin.
Listen in now.
Benjamin was active for more than ten years as a 100- and 200-meter sprinter: for the LG Eintracht Frankfurt, the LG Wetzlar, and the TV Elz. In both disciplines, he qualified once for the finals of German championships and was also invited to many other athletics meetings.
After his active time, he noticed more and more that there was a suitable podcast for almost every sport, but none, yet, for athletics. He wanted to change that!
Since 2019, Benjamin has brought his personal experience and palpable passion for athletics to every podcast episode. In the podcast name, the "Mainathlet", his roots from Frankfurt am Main merge with his career as an athlete.
Since he knows many active and former athletes personally and is partly also friends with them, he reports and interviews not only around major sporting events, but offers his followers throughout the year great insights, topics and guests.
Feel free to follow Benjamin, as we do, on Spotify, YouTube and Instagram.
